Angelica grew up in the music rich Central Valley town of Modesto, California. Raised in a musical family, her father taught her to sing the country classics of the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. In 1993, her family won tickets on the radio and attended their first bluegrass festival run by the California Bluegrass Association. This sparked a love for bluegrass music and for the special community it provides. Angelica made her first onstage performance at a festival at age 6 as a part of the Kids on Bluegrass program through the CBA. She continued to be a part of the program for the next 12 years as a performer and advisor. At age 16 she was appointed as the associations “Teen Ambassador” working closely with the board to spread the genre to the younger generation. She also served on the boards Talent Advisory Committee and later was appointed to the board of directors. She released her debut record in 2006 with Patuxent records. The album was produced by Grammy nominated Frank Solivan and had a star studded lineup including Michael Cleveland, Mike Auldrige , Bill Emerson, Mike Mumford, Wayne Taylor, and Keith Arneson. Her latest recording project set to be released soon showcases her songwriting talents and another all star line up that includes such bluegrass luminaries as Frank Solivan, Alison Brown, Missy Raines, and Rob Ickes. Angelica has been the guest of and performed with artists such as Rhonda Vincent, Marty Raybon (Shenandoah), The Infamous Stringdusters, Molly Tuttle, and Frank Solivan II.
